cEDH Tournament Report: Rograkh, Son of Rohgahh / Silas Renn, Seeker Adept wins Sparky's Need for Cedh | Tropical Island

November 3, 2026

Ontario, Ohio played host to Sparky's Need for Cedh | Tropical Island on October 31, 2026, and 58 players showed up ready to goldfish, bluff, and race each other to the first winning stack. When the dust settled, Sam Valley came out on top with the Rograkh, Son of Rohgahh / Silas Renn, Seeker Adept pairing, finishing with a 4-1-1 record. That one draw and one loss didn't stop the deck from getting the job done.

The top 4 was a nicely varied bunch. Alongside the winning Rograkh / Silas list, the final table included Kinnan, Bon

How it plays & wins

This is a blue-black-red turbo deck built around fast mana and free interaction. Moxen, Sol Ring, Mana Vault, Grim Monolith, Dark Ritual, Lotus Petal and Simian Spirit Guide produce explosive starts. Vampiric Tutor, Mystical Tutor and Demonic Tutor find the pieces, while Ad Nauseam and Necropotence refill the hand. Force of Will, Force of Negation, Fierce Guardianship, Pact of Negation, Misdirection and Flusterstorm let the pilot protect the combo without spending mana on their own turn. The commanders are a cheap, flexible backup plan.

The most direct win is Thassa's Oracle after Demonic Consultation or Tainted Pact empties the library. Underworld Breach is the second route: with Lion's Eye Diamond, it fuels a storm chain that ends in Brain Freeze. The list also has Bolas's Citadel and other value engines, but I can't say with confidence how they close out games.
