cEDH Tournament Report: Sisay, Weatherlight Captain wins Imperial Siege Nuremberg
Nuremberg was the place to be on October 31, 2026, as 54 players filled Imperial Siege Nuremberg in Nürnberg, Bayern, to battle it out in cEDH. When the dust settled, Janos Nado [SNAP] stood on top with Sisay, Weatherlight Captain, finishing the event at 4-0-3. That's four wins, no losses and three draws, a record that shows how tight the pod battles got.
The winning list came armed with plenty of ways to end the game. We detected Thassa's Oracle paired with both Demonic Consultation and Tainted Pact, plus Underworld Breach teamed up with either Brain Freeze or Lion's Eye Diamond. The Top 4 was just as interesting, with Sisay joined by Reyhan, Last of the Abzan paired with Rograkh, Son of Rohgahh, and two more Rograkh decks, one with Thrasios, Triton Hero and one with Silas Renn, Seeker Adept. That means Rograkh showed up in three of the four finalist lists, while Sisay was the one to take the

How it plays & wins
Sisay, Weatherlight Captain leads a fast, five-color shell that plays closer to a storm-style combo deck than a typical commander deck. The game plan is to deploy cheap mana like Moxen, Lotus Petal, Dark Ritual, and the mana dorks, then dig with tutors such as Demonic Tutor, Vampiric Tutor, Enlightened Tutor, Mystical Tutor, and Necropotence. Backup comes from a thick suite of free or cheap interaction, including Force of Will, Fierce Guardianship, Pact of Negation, Flusterstorm, and Silence, plus Rhystic Study and Mystic Remora for value when the game stalls.
The most direct win is the Thassa's Oracle package: empty the library with Demonic Consultation or Tainted Pact, then cast Oracle to win. The second route is Underworld Breach with Brain Freeze or Lion's Eye Diamond, which lets the deck chain spells from the graveyard into a lethal storm count. Ad Nauseam can also assemble these pieces by drawing deeply, though I can't say for certain how often it is the intended line.
